Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu visited Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The “6th Meeting of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council” was held under the chairmanship of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov. At the ceremony held after the meeting, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kyrgyz President Sadır Caparov signed the Joint Declaration on Raising the Strategic Partnership Relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic to the Level of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. On this occasion, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu and the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alimkadyr Beishenaliev signed the “Protocol on Cooperation in the Field of Organ Transplantation” and the “Agreement on the Joint Operation of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship.” President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the official opening ceremony of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Public Hospital of Friendship built by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Bishkek. Speaking at the opening, President Erdoğan stated that they were happy to bring such a hospital to Kyrgyzstan and said, “There is nothing but pride in such a 150-bed hospital.” Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu noted that this hospital was opened upon the instructions of President Erdoğan to contribute to health services in Kyrgyzstan. He also noted that all types of liver and kidney transplants can be performed in the hospital. After the speeches, the Hospital was officially opened.
