The 29 October Republic Day and 100th Anniversary of the Republic celebrations, which started in Ankara, continued in İstanbul. Republic Day Celebration Events were held on the Bosphorus on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President, Fahrettin Koca, Minister of Health and Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, watched the parade of TCG Anadolu, which is domestically produced and the largest warship of the Turkish Armed Forces, along with 100 warships as well as aircrafts and helicopters, at Beylerbeyi Park on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Yılmaz, Koca and Ersoy chatted with the citizens for a while and took souvenir photos with the children and young people who came to watch the event. Citizens attended the celebrations with Turkish flags in their hands, and the parade on the Bosphorus was followed with interest. Fireworks, light and drone shows were held on the Bosphorus on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Messages shared by Minister Koca on his social media account on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic:“Our Republic is 100 years old, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is 142 years old. We commemorate Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, all the heroes of our War of Independence, and those who devoted themselves to the construction of our new state, with respect and mercy once again on October 29, 2023.
