Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu visited veterans receiving treatment at the Health Sciences University Gaziler Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital on the occasion of September 19 Veterans Day. Prof. Memişoğlu received information about the health conditions of the veterans receiving treatment at the hospital, had breakfast with the veterans and their families in the hospital garden, chatted with the veterans and wished them a speedy recovery. Prof. Memişoğlu said in his speech, “I am proud to be with you today. Our nation is proud of you. I would like to thank you very much for entrusting this country to us and ensuring that our country remains with us. Every citizen needs to know how this country was won and how it was protected. Therefore, we need to work harder. Not just one day, every day is our Veterans Day. We owe you a lot. Even if we cannot fully repay that debt, we will do our best.” Prof. Memişoğlu Met with Turkish National Paralympic Team Athletes Prof. Memişoğlu visited Gazi Recep Yavuz’s philography exhibition at the hospital and congratulated him for his works in the exhibition. Gazi Recep Yavuz stated that they were like family with the hospital staff and that such artistic works also had a therapeutic aspect. Prof. Memişoğlu also met with national athlete Uğur Altınel, national para shooter Gazi Petty Officer Murat Oğuz and Southeastern Anatolia veteran national para archer Yavuz Papağan, who participated in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, congratulated each athlete individually and emphasized that they were proud of all athletes. Accompanied by Ankara Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe and Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Engin Koyuncu, Minister of Health Memişoğlu visited the Gazi Museum established in the hospital and examined the robotic rehabilitation and prosthesis production areas.
