Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu delivered a speech at the “Opening Ceremony of Gölcük Public Hospital, Cable Car and TOKİ Residences and Other Completed Projects” held in Gölcük district of Kocaeli on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.Our Aim is to Provide Effective Treatment Services at the Right Place and at the Right Time Emphasizing the pride of taking another important step in the field of health, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu said, “We will make family health and primary health services better and more effective. Our aim is to provide effective treatment services at the right place and the right time.” Prof. Memişoğlu shared the details of the health investments made in Kocaeli and stated: “We have built 71 primary, 23 secondary and 1 tertiary health facilities in Kocaeli. We put the 1,220-bed Kocaeli City Hospital into your service on April 4, 2023. As of today, we are offering our 300-bed Gölcük Necati Çelik Public Hospital in Kocaeli, our 50-bed AMATEM (Adult Purification Center) and 30-bed ÇEMATEM (Child-Adolescent Purification Center) in İzmit, and our Family Health Centers in Gebze İlyasbey, Darıca, Gölcük and İzmit Gündoğdu to the service of our nation.We Have Appointed 250 More Doctors to Kocaeli Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu stated that they provide service with 29,714 healthcare professionals in Kocaeli, 2,188 of whom are specialist physicians, and said, “We have appointed 250 more doctors to Kocaeli. I would like to thank all our doctors and healthcare professionals for their devoted work.”
