The Energy Efficiency in Health (SEVER) Project was launched in order to help all public and private health facilities to become green hospitals and practice energy efficiency effectively. In addition, the "Public and Private Sector Together for Energy Efficiency" project was started under coordination of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Ministry of Health.
A circular on the effective management of energy resources in healthcare facilities was published based on the outputs of the project. Click here for the Circular.
Moreover, the Ministry of Health started the "Green Hospital" practice in Turkey by imposing the obligation of LEED certification (an international green building certification) on all hospitals with 200 or more beds.
