Speaking at an iftar dinner held on the occasion of 14 March Medicine Day, President Erdoğan said: “We have made Türkiye a country where the world’s most efficient healthcare services are offered with the most inclusive social security system. We have taken all the necessary steps in order for our citizens to receive the best healthcare service, regardless of their social or economic status.” President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended an iftar dinner held on the occasion of 14 March Medicine Day in Istanbul. Delivering remarks at the dinner, President Erdoğan noted that means to get healthcare services is as important as health itself, and added: “We have seen the value of a strong, efficient, modern and well-operated healthcare system many times in the recent years, during the COVID-19 pandemic in particular. The pandemic, which had affected the entire world together with us for two years and during which millions of people had lost their lives, showed us that healthcare investments could not be neglected. Despite the malevolent criticisms of some circles, Türkiye had reaped all the rewards of the investments, which it has been making in its healthcare infrastructure since 2002, during the COVID-19 pandemic. With your extraordinary efforts, we successfully managed the biggest healthcare crisis of the last century.” President Erdoğan said: “We have made Türkiye a country where the world’s most efficient healthcare services are offered with the most inclusive social security system.
